Full Body Cleanse and Detox

Where do I start?

To begin a proper detox you must first get in touch with your body.

If you’ve been using your body like a dumping ground, putting a lot of the wrong foods into it, like I was, then it may take some time.

I will not tell you to stop doing things, but will guide you to start doing things that honor and respect your body temple.

If you follow the guidelines, you will find that your desire for certain food and drink will disappear of their own accord.

This is not a strict diet, or a regimented plan of action, but if you use your intuition, move at your own pace, and put forth the effort you will see many profound changes start to happen.

You will regain hope that it is possible to live in a healthy body at any age.

I will take you through seven days to get you started.

Please join me on this journey.

Even though I have only laid out seven days for you, I think you’ll find that this is much easier than it may look at the moment, and will bring much joy to your heart if you choose to continue for a lifetime.

Doing a full-body detox and cleanse takes a bit of planning.

What I offer here for you is the step-by-step plan that was laid out for me when I first arrived in Hawaii, by my guides, or “the higher ups” as I like to call them.  You can read about that here.

I will be doing this with you and recommend doing one of these every six months for the rest of your life for full-body maintenance.

With all of the advertising influences and other daily distractions, it can be easy to “fall back” to doing things the old way.

As you progress, all of your senses will be heightened and you will experience more joy bubbling up from within .

You will feel lighter and your inner light will shine brighter and you will begin to experience the world from a whole new perspective.

13 steps to a new body.

  1. Do a mental “scan” of your body.  Get into a quiet place, lying or sitting.  Close your eyes and “scan” your body, getting in touch with any aches or pains.   If you are experiencing any maladies in certain areas, send white healing light to that area and ask your body what it needs.

Depression and fatigue are your body’s way of letting you know it’s running on overload – so are aches and pains.

 

Write down any thoughts or ideas that come to the surface of your mind.  This is how your body communicates with you.   “Flax seed crackers” came up for me, so I’m working on a recipe that I will be sharing with you.

2.  Prepare your shopping list.

Fresh organic fruits and vegetables of your choice

Lean meats, I only use chicken and occasionally wild caught salmon.

Psyllium fiber – you can “dry” blend it for a finer powder.  It’s gentler on the body. I mix it in my smoothies.

Green powder – for smoothies.

Plain Greek yogurt – full fat ( non-fat dairy usually has added chemicals and sugar)  full fats are more satisfying and will reduce hunger cravings.

For sweet tooth craving – Plain unsweetened apple sauce, Honey or Maple flavored yogurt.

3.  Set up a journal to track yourself.  Now’s a good time to set your intention.  Write out your affirmations.  ( I used some extra pages in my planner to set it up.  If you have a planner, this is what I recommend. )

4.  Weigh in and take your measurements.

5. Before you begin, get in touch with your body.

Get a full body massage.

Go swimming – my fave!  Take a slow walk in Nature.  Walk barefoot on some grass or dirt, and soak in some sunlight.   Do some stretches out doors if possible.

Tune into your beautiful body and thank it for knowing how to take care of you.

6.  Now’s a good time to assess your beauty routine.

Look for body products and shampoos that don’t have a lot of cancer causing chemicals in them.  What you put “on” your body goes into your blood stream.

I recommend

Dr. Bronner’s castile soap

Shikai hair products

Virgin coconut oil for moisturizer

Boom Cosmetics for the face and body

Get a natural bristle brush for a dry brush massage.

Stop the use of synthetic perfumes.

Now’s a good time to try some essential oils –

You can make our own blends by adding a few drops to rubbing alcohol or vodka.

I also love the orange blossom and rose petal waters from the Mediterranean market.  They are distillations of the blossoms and make a nice base to your essential oils.  ( never use an essential oil directly on the body as it could cause a reaction. )

7.  Consider doing your laundry with Borax and Arm and Hammer washing soda – you can add some castile soap to this for sudsing action ( grate it first)

8.  Eliminate all polyester clothing and bedding from your life.

Polyester has been found through energy testing to lower the auric field.

Switch to natural cottons, linens, and wool and let your aura shine at it’s brightest.

9.  Eliminate all hand sanitizers, harsh cleaning chemicals, and artificial room deodorizers from your home.

10.  Reduce your use of prescription drugs by adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Your body is a natural healer – but too much toxicity in the body prevents it from doing it’s work.

11.  On the second or third day after starting a detox – go in for a colon hydro therapy session or give yourself a few enemas to help your elimination processes evacuate the toxins that your body will be releasing.

If you have had a lifestyle of fast foods, a lot of meat, or processed foods, it would be a good idea to set up a series of regular visits to a colon hydro-therapist.

There could be a build up of plaque along your intestinal walls that’s preventing proper absorption of nutrients and keeping toxins from poor eating habits and prescription drugs in your system.

You will also experience more youthful vitality by keeping your colon clean.

Even coffee can create a tar-like substance in the colon.

12.  Probiotics – naturally fermented kombucha sauerkraut, kefir, yogurt should be taken daily.

13.  Find ways to get more exercise and move that body.

Play some music and dance like nobody’s watching

Put on your favorite tunes and walk

I like Leslie Sansone’s walking videos when it’s too hot or cold to go outside.

I always park at the farthest spot when shopping and running errands

Whether you do better in group exercise or on your own, I find yoga to be one of the best and most gentle of ways to really get in touch with my body.

There are classes you can sign up for online for pennies a day.  Daily Om, and anytime yoga for example.

And you just may find it easier to incorporate a meditation practice into your lifestyle which  is essential to living your best life.

Always, always have music that uplifts you, and  helps your spirit soar.

No more criticizing your body wishing you had this or that.

It’s time to love your body, be thankful for the miracle that it is, hold your head high, keep your posture straight, shoulders back ( you can align your posture by standing against a wall), stepping out with grace and ease.  Step into your light body.

Make a vision board.  Visualize yourself in your perfect body.  Notice how it feels!  Carry that feeling with you the entire day!.

Go at your own pace, Be gentle on yourself.

Following bread crumbs…How did Hansel and Gretel survive?

By practicing the 27 days of Feng Shui challenge here, and 30 days of Gratitude here at the beginning of the year, I think of the story about Hansel and Gretel leaving bread crumbs along their trail in the forest so they could find their way home upon returning.

The Forest

We’ve made the clearing by eliminating all of those things that no longer spark joy.

Hansel and Gretel were left in the forest because their parents couldn’t afford to feed them.  They expected them to become lost.

The forest is your home.  By clearing your clutter you will see your way more clearly.

The bread crumbs

We’ve laid a path of gratitude and love, taking time to appreciate the people, circumstances, and  blessing that are present in our lives.

Hansel and Gretel dropped bread crumbs along the path, thinking this would lead them back home.  Little did they know, that the critters in the forest were hungry and would eat all of the bread crumbs. (The bread crumbs symbolize insincere prayers that are not heart felt. )

There may be distractions along the way. ( When Hansel and Gretel saw the house made of ginger bread, their hunger got the best of them, and all they could think of was devouring that house!)

Habits, moods, circumstances can draw us in and cause us to lose our focus.

The Witch

We’ve faced head-on some of the less than pleasant things in our lives and hopefully pushed pass them.

Or maybe they found a way to move on.

It seems that everyone is hungry in this story, even the witch!  She was planning to eat the children for dinner!

Perhaps, their hunger was a Spiritual Hunger, that could only be satisfied by a Connection to Spirit.  ( Everything else can wait, but your search for God cannot wait. Once the connection to your God Source is established, all of your needs are satisfied. )

The Oven

You may have escaped from “the oven” of uncertainty and witnessed a miracle, or been given more clarity.  ( The oven is the Fire of Spirit directing your life and burning up the dross of a matter based existence. )

After the children pushed the witch into the oven, they were free.

Now, it’s time to turn and face the path home and hope the birds haven’t made a meal of your bread crumbs.

Practicing gratitude should be an everyday occurrence by now.

Gratitude promotes prosperity and healing in our lives.

Even if the birds have devoured some of your carefully laid bread crumbs, you can look for other signs to find your way home.

The signs that the Universe brings are sometimes subtle and easy to overlook, to miss all together, or to discount their validity.

And you may not get reminders if you ignore them.

Have you ever regretted not doing something when the signs  were all around you?

I have.

What kinds of signs can you expect?

You could receive a hunch or an idea.

You might see something that reminds you of someone.

Nature often sends signs.

You could get a strong feeling that every thing’s going to be okay.  That could be an Angel whispering in your ear.

You could feel a strong urge to take an action.

You could see a message on a license plate while driving.

Whatever it is, take notice, jot it down in a journal or a notebook, or take action.

Start collecting those bread crumbs or signs that you see along your path.

This is how the Universe guides us.

When we are doing “inner work” there’s a time for sewing the seeds and reaping the harvest.

It takes time.

Sometimes years.

It’s important to do the work of decluttering, training our minds to expect the best, pushing through adversity, and practicing patience through trust and faith.

Watch for the signs and be ready to act when an opportunity presents itself.

  1. Stay in tip-top form, by staying physically active – exercise and nutrition
  2. Update your wardrobe so you look your best.  Update your home’s “wardrobe” so it lifts your spirit.
  3. Keep mentally sound through meditation, getting plenty of sleep, learning all you can.
  4. Emotionally fit by practicing gratitude, forgiveness, and always focusing on the positive.  No more complaining.
  5. Spiritually Alert – through inner stillness, meditation and prayer, spending time in Nature.
  6. Keep a journal of the signs and symbols that come your way.

Now you are ready for the next great offer that comes your way.

Hansel and Gretel found their way home after discovering the Witch’s treasure.  They returned home to help their parents with their newly found prosperity.

The Event: The Wave — Era of Light

I’m sharing this today, because I want to urge everyone to take time to meditate and become heart centered.  Today, I had a glimmer of this new “wave” that is coming in.  I felt such tremendous love for everyone, and it’s important that you are ready when this comes.  Mahalo

Why Worry? and what you can do about it.

 

Do you ever find yourself worrying about something, imagining the worst outcome of something over which you have absolutely no control over?

I’ve probably spent at least 30% of my life worrying.  No, maybe even 50%!

I’ve worried about my children, relationships, money, health, loss, always fearing what “could” happen.

I even worry about my car getting a flat tire while I’m driving on the freeway.

At some point, I decided that worrying was a futile attempt, as it didn’t do a bit of good for me or anyone else.

I realized that I was only sending the vibration of worry out into the Universe.

Worry is a non-constructive effort.

When my son was in high school was when I finally realized that worrying about him walking the streets at night was pointless.

That’s when I took up water color quilting.

I could spend all of that time and energy on something creative.

I could spend the time used for worrying, cutting, and piecing together the pictures that I wanted to create.

My mind would be healed as I worked with the colors and focused on creating something beautiful.

It Worked!

I would become so lost in my art that time previously spent on worry, was replaced with a mind that wanted to create beautiful things.  And the time would pass so quickly!.

I just had to trust that my son would be okay.  And one night, when he arrived home, he sat down with me, and started helping me place some of the squares.  A very special moment for me.

Another thing I learned was to imagine a white light surrounding whatever it was that I was worried about.

Whether it was my car, a person, or a situation, I would call in my angels, ask for their help and protection, and put a white light of protection around it.

Then I would just hand it over to God.

I trained my little ego mind to delegate it’s concerns to the greater power.

I still worry at times.

But now, I recognize what’s happening, and redirect it’s course before it takes over.

I just live one day at a time and focus on the Now as much as possible.

Live each moment to the fullest and let the future take care of it’s self.

Now that I’m older, I even have less lines of worry on my forehead.

They’ve been softened and smoothed by the Angels.

Worry ends when faith begins.

For we walk by faith not by sight.  2 Cor. 5:7

Finding Your Soul Tribe

As we go through life there are certain people who we resonate with more than others.

They make us feel like we’ve come home, when we can spend time together.

Some stay with us our entire life and some may only stay a short while, but long enough to make a lasting  impression.

We can pick up where we left off as though there has been no time or space in between.

It’s akin to having a pair of shoes that fit so well, and feel so good when you wear them, and you wish they could last forever.

There will come a time when we must let go.

But there are invisible cords that keep us connected forever, so that we can find each other again.

Just a fleeting thought of someone, may be enough to remind you to call, send a prayer, or a card, write a poem.

Whatever it is, it’s important to give in to the feeling, and contact them.  They may need to talk, or just give you a message, a word that you needed to hear, a different perspective on something you’ve been thinking about.

Maybe someone needs a good listener to help them process their own thoughts.

Or they might appear in a dream to let you know they’re with you in Spirit, even though you may not even know where they are.

The support, encouragement, love, and sharing, our sense of humor, or different take on a subject, is what we can give each other.

Your soul tribe can be a spiritual family, your own clan, or friends who “get” you. It can be different for everyone.

You may have a lot in common, or nothing, yet the connection and love that is felt when you are together raises your vibration to another level and makes your life richer, brighter, and more meaningful.

Pushing through adversity

I woke up this morning thinking about my dad teaching me to ride my new bike when I was five years old.

I think about this often, as it has been one of my life lessons on using sheer determination, working past obstacles, and surviving in a world of pain.

“Don’t be a quitter” was one of his favorite sayings.

My new bike was  second hand with fat tires and a new paint job in green and cream enamel.  It was a small two wheel bike with no training wheels.

I was a healthy 5 year old with freckles on my nose, amber colored hair from being bleached in the sun, and a very strong will and a fighting spirit.

Dad must have thought that I needed some tough lessons to survive this life.

It was 1958, and I’m not sure if training wheels had been invented yet. ( Actually, it looks as though they were invented around 1950, but there was some controversy as to whether they actually helped.) I don’t think my dad would have thought them necessary anyway, as he was pretty much “old school”.

Regardless, I was to learn to peddle, balance, and steer with a single push off.

That’s how I was taught to ride my bike.

I don’t remember how many times I fell and skinned my knees, only to be told to get back on and try again.

As I held back the tears, I would get back on and keep trying until I learned to ride that darned bike.

One of the worst feelings I remember is skinning my knees again after just freshly skinning them on the rough cement pavement.

It burned a lot as the blood ran down my legs and I peddled furiously to learn this new skill.

The physical pain, the emotional pain of failure, all of these things worked against me.

But my dad kept making me get back on my bike until I learned to ride in my first session.

Harsh treatment for a child, you may think, and it was.

But many times in my life, this story has kept me going, and I survived it all .

In Buddhist teachings we are taught to thank our adversaries, forgive them, and understand that they have been placed in our lives to teach us.

Whenever I’ve been confronted with relationship or material loss, abusive relationships, dire uncertainty, or physical challenges, I’ve been able to keep my focus on my goals, keep my nose to the grindstone, and carry on regardless of what circumstances came my way.

It’s important not to let our lives be distracted by these obstacles that arise to throw us off our path.

We can work through the pain, by keeping a clear focus on our values, plans, and dreams.

Try not to give too much importance to the pain, the drama, the naysayers that rear their ugly heads.

Move beyond it.

Stay focused and firm in your authenticity

You can survive anything.

The Power of Gratitude, Manifesting and making lists…

Today is the 30th day of our gratitude journey.

It’s a practice that raises our vibration, connects us to our heart, our higher self, and shows us how to walk a path of heart-centered peace and contentment.

If you are longing for more peace in your life, or the world, this is where you begin –

by connecting to your heart and experiencing the deepest gratitude, so that it flows naturally as an every day occurrence.

 

You may find yourself complaining less about what you don’t want in your life, and seeing more of what you do want as you make this a daily practice.

Gratitude felt from the heart is the key to manifesting your heart’s desire.

As you lift your focus and train your wayward thinking, you see more of the beauty in life, and your life takes on new meaning, clarity, and abundance as you naturally flow with love and gratitude.

Take a moment to embrace your life with gratitude, right now.

Make a list of something you dearly wish for, and be specific.

Say a prayer of thanks as though you already have it.

Date it, and put it away.

Today I realized that I am currently living in it.

It has 4 bedrooms, a large pool in the backyard, a kitchen island, large windows lots of trees.  I’m surrounded by family.

Don’t question how your wish will be delivered to you.

Just appreciate it for what it is.

Turning the Corner

We have 9 days left on this Gratitude Journey….

If you’ve been practicing Gratitude for the last 21 days, you are probably starting to see some results.

Things have started to shift in your favor.

Expressing gratitude is becoming a daily practice, a way of life, and you are noticing more things that perhaps you used to take for granted.

Maybe you’ve started noticing signs from the Universe that your angels are present.

Pennies, feathers, hearts, butterflies, repeating numbers are all signs.

For years, I’ve found pennies on the ground.

In the last few years, I’ve been consistently finding dimes.

Since I’ve come to Hawaii, I’m consistently finding quarters on the ground.

Things have been showing up for me just when I needed them.

Mango!

I received two weeks free of yoga classes.

My daughter unpacked her Holosync CD’s that I’ve been wanting to try.

Mangos keep falling out of the tree in the front yard, just in time for my morning smoothie!

And things in Sacramento are beginning to fall into place, as I practice patience on this gratitude journey.

I cannot emphasize enough, how important it is to keep a journal and write every little thing down.

Today, as we turn the corner on our countdown of the final nine days, lets begin (if you haven’t already) to write out an affirmation of something you dearly want.

Pick just one thing today and for the next nine days, write your affirmation 27 times each day.

State your affirmation in the present.

I am …

I now have…

I am grateful for…

You fill in the blanks

Taking gratitude to the next level of manifesting our desires we are the creators of our destiny in partnership with All That Is.

This or something better is my prayer for you as you allow the Great Knowing to be present in your life and become your best friend.

And so it is!

Expect the best!

You deserve it!
