Full Body Cleanse and Detox

IMG_4333

Where do I start?

To begin a proper detox you must first get in touch with your body.

If you’ve been using your body like a dumping ground, putting a lot of the wrong foods into it, like I was, then it may take some time.

I will not tell you to stop doing things, but will guide you to start doing things that honor and respect your body temple.

If you follow the guidelines, you will find that your desire for certain food and drink will disappear of their own accord.

This is not a strict diet, or a regimented plan of action, but if you use your intuition, move at your own pace, and put forth the effort you will see many profound changes start to happen.

You will regain hope that it is possible to live in a healthy body at any age.

I will take you through seven days to get you started.

Please join me on this journey.

Even though I have only laid out seven days for you, I think you’ll find that this is much easier than it may look at the moment, and will bring much joy to your heart if you choose to continue for a lifetime.

Doing a full-body detox and cleanse takes a bit of planning.

What I offer here for you is the step-by-step plan that was laid out for me when I first arrived in Hawaii, by my guides, or “the higher ups” as I like to call them.  You can read about that here.

I will be doing this with you and recommend doing one of these every six months for the rest of your life for full-body maintenance.

With all of the advertising influences and other daily distractions, it can be easy to “fall back” to doing things the old way.

As you progress, all of your senses will be heightened and you will experience more joy bubbling up from within .

You will feel lighter and your inner light will shine brighter and you will begin to experience the world from a whole new perspective.

******************************************************************************

13 steps to a new body.

  1. Do a mental “scan” of your body.  Get into a quiet place, lying or sitting.  Close your eyes and “scan” your body, getting in touch with any aches or pains.   If you are experiencing any maladies in certain areas, send white healing light to that area and ask your body what it needs.

Depression and fatigue are your body’s way of letting you know it’s running on overload – so are aches and pains.

Write down any thoughts or ideas that come to the surface of your mind.  This is how your body communicates with you.   “Flax seed crackers” came up for me, so I’m working on a recipe that I will be sharing with you.

2.  Prepare your shopping list.

Fresh organic fruits and vegetables of your choice

Lean meats, I only use chicken and occasionally wild caught salmon.

Psyllium fiber – you can “dry” blend it for a finer powder.  It’s gentler on the body. I mix it in my smoothies.

Green powder – for smoothies.

Plain Greek yogurt – full fat ( non-fat dairy usually has added chemicals and sugar)  full fats are more satisfying and will reduce hunger cravings.

For sweet tooth craving – Plain unsweetened apple sauce, Honey or Maple flavored yogurt.

img_4326.jpg

3.  Set up a journal to track yourself.  Now’s a good time to set your intention.  Write out your affirmations.  ( I used some extra pages in my planner to set it up.  If you have a planner, this is what I recommend. )

4.  Weigh in and take your measurements.

5. Before you begin, get in touch with your body.

Get a full body massage.

Go swimming – my fave!  Take a slow walk in Nature.  Walk barefoot on some grass or dirt, and soak in some sunlight.   Do some stretches out doors if possible.

Tune into your beautiful body and thank it for knowing how to take care of you.

IMG_4315

page from kikki k planner

6.  Now’s a good time to assess your beauty routine.

Look for body products and shampoos that don’t have a lot of cancer causing chemicals in them.  What you put “on” your body goes into your blood stream.

I recommend

Dr. Bronner’s castile soap

Shikai hair products

Virgin coconut oil for moisturizer

Boom Cosmetics for the face and body

Get a natural bristle brush for a dry brush massage.

Stop the use of synthetic perfumes.

Now’s a good time to try some essential oils –

You can make our own blends by adding a few drops to rubbing alcohol or vodka.

I also love the orange blossom and rose petal waters from the Mediterranean market.  They are distillations of the blossoms and make a nice base to your essential oils.  ( never use an essential oil directly on the body as it could cause a reaction. )

7.  Consider doing your laundry with Borax and Arm and Hammer washing soda – you can add some castile soap to this for sudsing action ( grate it first)

8.  Eliminate all polyester clothing and bedding from your life.

Polyester has been found through energy testing to lower the auric field.

Switch to natural cottons, linens, and wool and let your aura shine at it’s brightest.

9.  Eliminate all hand sanitizers, harsh cleaning chemicals, and artificial room deodorizers from your home.

10.  Reduce your use of prescription drugs by adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Your body is a natural healer – but too much toxicity in the body prevents it from doing it’s work.

11.  On the second or third day after starting a detox – go in for a colon hydro therapy session or give yourself a few enemas to help your elimination processes evacuate the toxins that your body will be releasing.

If you have had a lifestyle of fast foods, a lot of meat, or processed foods, it would be a good idea to set up a series of regular visits to a colon hydro-therapist.

There could be a build up of plaque along your intestinal walls that’s preventing proper absorption of nutrients and keeping toxins from poor eating habits and prescription drugs in your system.

You will also experience more youthful vitality by keeping your colon clean.

Even coffee can create a tar-like substance in the colon.

12.  Probiotics – naturally fermented kombucha sauerkraut, kefir, yogurt should be taken daily.

It’s so easy to make your own – visit Cultured Food Life to learn more about this.

13.  Find ways to get more exercise and move that body.

Play some music and dance like nobody’s watching

Put on your favorite tunes and walk

I like Leslie Sansone’s walking videos when it’s too hot or cold to go outside.

I always park at the farthest spot when shopping and running errands

Whether you do better in group exercise or on your own, I find yoga to be one of the best and most gentle of ways to really get in touch with my body.

There are classes you can sign up for online for pennies a day.  Daily Om, and anytime yoga for example.

And you just may find it easier to incorporate a meditation practice into your lifestyle which  is essential to living your best life.

Always, always have music that uplifts you, and  helps your spirit soar.

No more criticizing your body wishing you had this or that.

It’s time to love your body, be thankful for the miracle that it is, hold your head high, keep your posture straight, shoulders back ( you can align your posture by standing against a wall), stepping out with grace and ease.  Step into your light body.

IMG_4330

Make a vision board.  Visualize yourself in your perfect body.  Notice how it feels!  Carry that feeling with you the entire day!.

Following bread crumbs…How did Hansel and Gretel survive?

By practicing the 27 days of Feng Shui challenge here, and 30 days of Gratitude here at the beginning of the year, I think of the story about Hansel and Gretel leaving bread crumbs along their trail in the forest so they could find their way home upon returning.

The Forest

We’ve made the clearing by eliminating all of those things that no longer spark joy.

Hansel and Gretel were left in the forest because their parents couldn’t afford to feed them.  They expected them to become lost.

The forest is your home.  By clearing your clutter you will see your way more clearly.

The bread crumbs

We’ve laid a path of gratitude and love, taking time to appreciate the people, circumstances, and  blessing that are present in our lives.

Hansel and Gretel dropped bread crumbs along the path, thinking this would lead them back home.  Little did they know, that the critters in the forest were hungry and would eat all of the bread crumbs. (The bread crumbs symbolize insincere prayers that are not heart felt. )

The ginger bread house

There may be distractions along the way. ( When Hansel and Gretel saw the house made of ginger bread, their hunger got the best of them, and all they could think of was devouring that house!)

Habits, moods, circumstances can draw us in and cause us to lose our focus.

The Witch

We’ve faced head-on some of the less than pleasant things in our lives and hopefully pushed pass them.

Or maybe they found a way to move on.

It seems that everyone is hungry in this story, even the witch!  She was planning to eat the children for dinner!

Perhaps, their hunger was a Spiritual Hunger, that could only be satisfied by a Connection to Spirit.  ( Everything else can wait, but your search for God cannot wait. Once the connection to your God Source is established, all of your needs are satisfied. )

The Oven

You may have escaped from “the oven” of uncertainty and witnessed a miracle, or been given more clarity.  ( The oven is the Fire of Spirit directing your life and burning up the dross of a matter based existence. )

After the children pushed the witch into the oven, they were free.

Now, it’s time to turn and face the path home and hope the birds haven’t made a meal of your bread crumbs.

Practicing gratitude should be an everyday occurrence by now.

Gratitude promotes prosperity and healing in our lives.

Even if the birds have devoured some of your carefully laid bread crumbs, you can look for other signs to find your way home.

The signs that the Universe brings are sometimes subtle and easy to overlook, to miss all together, or to discount their validity.

And you may not get reminders if you ignore them.

Have you ever regretted not doing something when the signs  were all around you?

I have.

What kinds of signs can you expect?

You could receive a hunch or an idea.

You might see something that reminds you of someone.

Nature often sends signs.

You could get a strong feeling that every thing’s going to be okay.  That could be an Angel whispering in your ear.

You could feel a strong urge to take an action.

You could see a message on a license plate while driving.

Whatever it is, take notice, jot it down in a journal or a notebook, or take action.

Start collecting those bread crumbs or signs that you see along your path.

This is how the Universe guides us.

When we are doing “inner work” there’s a time for sewing the seeds and reaping the harvest.

It takes time.

Sometimes years.

It’s important to do the work of decluttering, training our minds to expect the best, pushing through adversity, and practicing patience through trust and faith.

Watch for the signs and be ready to act when an opportunity presents itself.

************************************************************************

  1. Stay in tip-top form, by staying physically active – exercise and nutrition
  2. Update your wardrobe so you look your best.  Update your home’s “wardrobe” so it lifts your spirit.
  3. Keep mentally sound through meditation, getting plenty of sleep, learning all you can.
  4. Emotionally fit by practicing gratitude, forgiveness, and always focusing on the positive.  No more complaining.
  5. Spiritually Alert – through inner stillness, meditation and prayer, spending time in Nature.
  6. Keep a journal of the signs and symbols that come your way.

Now you are ready for the next great offer that comes your way.

Hansel and Gretel found their way home after discovering the Witch’s treasure.  They returned home to help their parents with their newly found prosperity.

Do you have an idea what the Witch’s treasure might have been?

Please leave your comments below.  I hope you enjoyed this post.  While I was writing it, I actually surprised my self with some of the things that came forward.

I wish you all the best.

The Event: The Wave — Era of Light

Greetings! From heart to heart in this moment we speak, I am KejRaj(KayRy). The reason I say ‘we’ speak is because besides my self choosing to deliver this message, I know I am also being guided by other forces in this journey.

via The Event: The Wave — Era of Light

I’m sharing this today, because I want to urge everyone to take time to meditate and become heart centered.  Today, I had a glimmer of this new “wave” that is coming in.  I felt such tremendous love for everyone, and it’s important that you are ready when this comes.  Mahalo

Why Worry? and what you can do about it.

Do you ever find yourself worrying about something, imagining the worst outcome of something over which you have absolutely no control over?

I’ve probably spent at least 30% of my life worrying.  No, maybe even 50%!

I’ve worried about my children, relationships, money, health, loss, always fearing what “could” happen.

I even worry about my car getting a flat tire while I’m driving on the freeway.

At some point, I decided that worrying was a futile attempt, as it didn’t do a bit of good for me or anyone else.

I realized that I was only sending the vibration of worry out into the Universe.

Worry is a non-constructive effort.

When my son was in high school was when I finally realized that worrying about him walking the streets at night was pointless.

That’s when I took up water color quilting.

IMG_4245

Exuberantcolor/Wanda S. Hanson

I could spend all of that time and energy on something creative.

I could spend the time used for worrying, cutting, and piecing together the pictures that I wanted to create.

My mind would be healed as I worked with the colors and focused on creating something beautiful.

It Worked!

I would become so lost in my art that time previously spent on worry, was replaced with a mind that wanted to create beautiful things.  And the time would pass so quickly!.

I just had to trust that my son would be okay.  And one night, when he arrived home, he sat down with me, and started helping me place some of the squares.  A very special moment for me.

Another thing I learned was to imagine a white light surrounding whatever it was that I was worried about.

Whether it was my car, a person, or a situation, I would call in my angels, ask for their help and protection, and put a white light of protection around it.

Then I would just hand it over to God.

I trained my little ego mind to delegate it’s concerns to the greater power.

I still worry at times.

But now, I recognize what’s happening, and redirect it’s course before it takes over.

I just live one day at a time and focus on the Now as much as possible.

Live each moment to the fullest and let the future take care of it’s self.

Now that I’m older, I even have less lines of worry on my forehead.

They’ve been softened and smoothed by the Angels.

Worry ends when faith begins.

For we walk by faith not by sight.  2 Cor. 5:7

30 Days of Gratitude…Day 1….Last Day of 30 countdown….

The Power of Gratitude, Manifesting and making lists…

Today is the 30th day of our gratitude journey.

It’s a practice that raises our vibration, connects us to our heart, our higher self, and shows us how to walk a path of heart-centered peace and contentment.

IMG_1266

If you are longing for more peace in your life, or the world, this is where you begin –

by connecting to your heart and experiencing the deepest gratitude, so that it flows naturally as an every day occurrence.

You may find yourself complaining less about what you don’t want in your life, and seeing more of what you do want as you make this a daily practice.

img_1944

Gratitude felt from the heart is the key to manifesting your heart’s desire.

IMG_1276

As you lift your focus and train your wayward thinking, you see more of the beauty in life, and your life takes on new meaning, clarity, and abundance as you naturally flow with love and gratitude.

IMG_3317

Take a moment to embrace your life with gratitude, right now.

Make a list of something you dearly wish for, and be specific.

Say a prayer of thanks as though you already have it.

Date it, and put it away.

IMG_3642

I’ve often made lists of the features that I would like in my dream home.

IMG_3915

Today I realized that I am currently living in it.

It has 4 bedrooms, a large pool in the backyard, a kitchen island, large windows lots of trees.  I’m surrounded by family.

IMG_3810

Don’t question how your wish will be delivered to you.

Just appreciate it for what it is.

Thank you for taking this journey with me.

I love you, I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you.  Ho’oponopono

30 Days of Gratitude…Day 5….

Yes! But does it flow?

Sometimes, when you first move into a place you just want to get the furniture in  place, unpack the boxes, and start living your life.

Too many times to count, I’ve left pictures along the wall on the floor, thinking that if I hang them, something disastrous will happen, and I’ll have to move again.  I guess the act of leaving them on the floor keeps things in a temporary state, leaving me impermanent in case I need to fly the coop.

Maybe boxes get shoved into a closet to be dealt with later ( NOT).

When I finally overcame these fears (there must be some deep-seated psychological meaning to all of this) my life started to flow better, my mind became more clear, and I was able to recognize when something just didn’t feel right.

IMG_3516

Grandson’s room in Hawaii

As I walk around a room, I can sense the awkward flow of movement when something is blocking the flow of energy.

Now the pictures get hung, or stored, or donated.

The boxes, too.

The clutter is cleared.

IMG_3512

Bookcase was in this corner

In this room, the bookcase was sitting next to the closet, disabling the use of the large drawers near the floor.

It’s funny that now I go into other people’s houses and move the furniture.

IMG_3511

Bookcase now sits in this corner creating better flow

At home, I had a French arm chair sitting at my personal desk.  It was pretty, but it stuck out too far and obstructed the flow of traffic when one entered through the front door.

IMG_2468

Please excuse the mess!  Before picture with French chair.

So, I changed it. ( you can see the post where I redid my desk area here.)

IMG_2667

Enter Happy Chair that slides under the desk easily.

Take a look around your space.

Do a walk-through.

Is there anything blocking your path?

Are there any unfinished projects sitting around?  Is there a clear path from room to room?

If not, there could be something blocking your life path.

Lay the bagua over your room to see if any area that’s blocked or cluttered coincides with the area of your life on the Bagua.

IMG_3293

Lay the Bagua ( see photo above) over each room with the door to the room at the bottom of the page. The door of the room will fall into either the Knowledge, Career, or Helpful People area.

When I moved my chair from the desk and put an armless chair in it’s place (which fell in my Helpful People and Travel area of the Bagua) I was offered this trip to Hawaii.

When I moved the bookcase in this bedroom so that it wasn’t blocking the drawers, (also in the Helpful People and Travel area) he was offered a chance to go to boys’ camp for the Summer.

Coincidence, you may think?

I think not….

Try it, and let me know how it works for you.

Life can be so much easier when we are in the flow.

I express gratitude for the ability and understanding to keep my life flowing.

And so it is!

Dear Diary…Day 7…of the 27 things for 27 days countdown….

IMG_9690

It’s time to lift the veil!  Feng shui is more than most people may imagine.  It’s a matter of life and death.

I woke up earlier than usual this morning.  I feel like it’s time to take this clutter clearing business to the next level.  I feel like some people may not want to hear this, or even deal with this level.

We are such creatures of habit and have been schooled by the T.V. for the past 65 years or so.

I remember our first T.V. It had a rounded greenish screen enclosed in a wooden case on legs.  It was black and white.

Every Sunday, Dad would pick up a dozen donuts and we would head over to our cousins house, the kids riding in the back of the pick-up, to watch the Walt Disney Hour.

Until 7:30pm, when the show started, all of us cousins, 3 boys, 2 girls, and some of the neighbor kids, would play “Ditch”, where we formed teams and played “Hide and Seek” all up and down the street.

When the television marketers began to see what a valuable tool mass media could be in relationship to selling to a larger audience, and how the use of ads and commercials could influence Society’s buying decisions, a new monster was born.

All of that being said, even though I could go on and on, I really want to focus on the beliefs that have been hypnotically induced by advertisements and the media.

The beliefs in products that are advertised to make our lives better, that are in the long run, making our society sicker by bringing chemicals into our homes that cause all sorts of illness, foods that create tension, apathy, brain fog, and rob our bodies of energy while silently killing us, and causing diseases that are passed on to our future generations.

As people become more aware and stop using products and foods that are laden with chemicals that are robbing us of our ability to use our intuition by desensitizing our minds, our bodies , to our very own senses, our planet will begin to heal.  Our quality of life will return.

It’s time to return to our Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s ways.  The ways of living simply.

We’ve become frazzled consumers by trying to live up to some ideal, super human, type A lifestyle, where every thing is germ-free, over-saturated with chemicals, and full of uppers and downers just to cope with every day life.

I say, that’s what the “veil” is all about.  It’s keeping us distracted from who we truly are.

I’ve seen a lot of people in the last few years whose life has been turned upside down.

Whether it’s the loss of a job, the loss of a loved one, a sudden change in a way of life through catastrophe, or health issues, the Universe is issuing a wake-up call.

And now is the time that we take the universe seriously.

It’s time we listen to the call that comes from the bees that are dying, to the whales and the dolphins who continue their mass beachings due to sonic testing and plastic pollution in our oceans.

This is a cottage necessity for our future generations.

IMG_9691

My Dear Cottage Mavens,

Here are some things that you can do today, this week, to bring more peace and stability into your homes and to help heal our planet.

  1. Go through your pantry and remove all processed foods or anything with chemicals that you cannot pronounce.
  2. Avoid shopping down the processed food isles in the grocery stores.
  3. Discard all toxic cleaning products, hazardous products,” perfumed ” products like heavily perfumed laundry soaps, fabric softeners, anti-bacterial soaps, hand sanitizers, etc.
  4. Think about the products you use every day and the long term investment in you and your family’s health.
  5. Do your deodorants contain aluminum?  Does your toothepaste contain Flouride?  Is your diet full of sugar?  ( these will dull your I.Q. and lead to Alzheimers and cancers).
  6. Aspartame which caused early death and tumors in rats is now in most candies, diet drinks, and anything artificially sweetened.
  7. High fructose corn syrup is genetically modified.  So is anything made with wheat, canola, and soy.  If it’s designed to kill bugs, it has to be killing our gut bacteria.
  8. Take a before and after picture of your self, and our housemates.  The inflammation and the bloating will decrease, as many allergies, headaches, aches and pains, depression, lethargy, just not feeling good will lift away.
  9. The agitation, the nervousness, the aches and pains in your body will start to leave as you return your body to it’s natural state of being .
  10. Your intuition will become more clear, your sense of smell will return, your eye sight may improve, and you’ll experience a state of well-being, which will carry you through every day occurences with more ease and resilience.
  11. Check your prescriptions for side effects, and look for natural alternatives.  Are you willing to sacrifice other areas of your well-being by taking these things into your body?

These are things that we cannot see or notice because they happen over a long period of time.

They are the silent killers that are the plagues in today’s society.  And they are being marketed to our children every day through the media.

Our homes are our sanctuaries.  We have control over what can come in and serve our greater well-being.

This is only a place to start as we educate ourselves, our families, and our friends.

So, start today.  This may be the biggest clutter clearing yet!

It’s time to lift the veil and live your Greatest Self!

Affirmation:  The divine Design of my life now comes to pass.  I now fill the place that I can fill and no one else can fill.  I now do the things which I can do and no one else can do.  Florence Scovill Shinn

How to Decoupage a Lamp with napkins

img_2731

I made a comment the other day that “Every corner of my house warms my soul”.  One of my readers commented on it, and made me realize that I have some corners that DO NOT.

If you have a plain ceramic or wood lamp, and you would like to make it pretty, then read on…

img_1877

I started by gathering some pretty napkins ( you could also use fabric) , a wood base lamp, (you could also use ceramic), and modpodge and a small chip brush.

I find the best napkins at Tuesday Morning.  They have tons!

I start by painting the base white or off-white.

img_1869

Once I have selected my napkins, I tear back the extra layers, so I have only the top to work with.

img_1880

img_1881

img_1887

Then I cut the images or shapes that I want to place on my lamp.  In this case, I am choosing to cover the entire lamp with the napkin tissue.  There are no mistakes, so however you choose to place your napkin is up to you.  It’s the creative process.

img_1891

next I brush the modpodge all over the lamp base.  You can work in smaller areas if it feels more comfortable to do it that way.

img_1888

As I lay the images across the lamp base, I tap it down with a brush filled with more modpodge.

img_1889

img_1892

Oops!  I can fix that!

The napkins, when wet, can be delicate, but no worries!  I’ll show you how to patch this.  This is a collage.

img_1894

I just cut out a little flower to fill in here.

You can also cut out borders, or other images to lay across the lamp base.

I don’t mind a few wrinkles.  But if you do, you might prefer to use the same technique using craft paper.  Here are some examples.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

You can do a final coat of modpodge to seal it all in and finish it off.  Have fun!

Cottage Necessites

Dear Diary…today is the 26th day of…

the 27 day challenge to clear 27 things from my life.

img_2721

Today I cleaned my bedroom closet.  I removed 2 bags of stuff that I no longer need, have never worn, and that no longer serves me.

I was saving 3 items that I thought that I could sell.  They were hanging on my closet door.  Later in the evening, looking at them, I decided to add them to a new bag of stuff that I would donate.

I cannot tell you what a great feeling that gave me!  It seemed to have lifted something from my aura.  I had been carrying around one of those dresses for 35 years!

Once I discovered how great that felt, I decided to let go of 3 brand new scarves that I have never worn, or worn only once, because they make my neck too hot, and that style just doesn’t look good on me.

I organized all of my pillow making supplies, like needlepoints and crewel embroidery that I have collected, because I realized that I enjoy making pillows and selling them on my etsy store, Cottage Necessities. http://www.etsy.com/shop/CottageNecessities

That day I had two sales of pillows and pillow shams!

So, one thing I know for sure about my self is that I enjoy making pillows for people and that I don’t like wearing scarves on my neck.

Who knew it would be so hard to let go of some things?  And that it could feel so freeing when you do?  Note to self:  I need to trust the Universe more.

My affirmation for today is…

I see clearly my inexhaustible supply.  I see clearly just what to do!  Florence Scovel Shinn

P.S. tonight I listed some things that I found in my stash on my Etsy site.  Some pillows that I had made and never listed.  Sweet Dreams

I forgot I was cleaning!

Almost immediately after the wonder and beauty of Christmas is wearing off….

many homemakers start to think about de-cluttering….

As the New Year approaches, we start to think;  Out with the old, in with the new!

And what other time could be better than NOW?

IMG_0114

It hasn’t always been this way for me ~ but this year, I just happen to have the time.  So, I decided to start in the kitchen….

Recalling the words of my 17 year old grandson, Miles….”Mom, why do you have so many wooden spoons?”  I decided to start there.

IMG_0111

(Crock in the back, reduced to one. ) Taller appliance put next to wall.

Now, when I am helping a friend, or a client with decluttering, I try to get them to practice ……”Mindfullness”…..

In mindfullness, decluttering becomes a journey rather than a task.

When you declutter with mindfullness, it’s best to have no distractions.

It’s also a good idea to have a bag or a box for donations, as you will be letting go of what no longer serves you.

It would also be a good idea to have a place to set aside things that you cannot make a decision on right away.

As you look around to assess the room you have chosen – think about how well it serves you, and about what you can do to improve the function of the space.

(Maybe some extra storage at the end of the counter will help.)

For me;  I like to have certain appliances on the counter that I use every day.  I also like to have my cooking utensils near the stove, at-the-ready.

I did not need to have my wooden salad servers there, so I eliminated one set to the donation pile and put the other two in a drawer, freeing up and eliminating one of the extra crocks that was taking up counter space.

I also switched places with the coffee maker and electric tea kettle because the coffee maker was taller and looked better against the wall.

Being mindful is to clear it off, wipe it down, and give some thought to each item.  This is important:  Give some thought to each item as you wipe it down.

I don’t want to bore you with all the details of how I cleaned my tiny kitchen, but I want you to know that in the process, I was able to “GET” that I really don’t need as much as I thought I did.

” A place for everything and everything in it’s place” is a good mantra to use while decluttering.

And if something doesn’t “have a place”, then maybe someone else could find a good use for it, and you won’t even miss it.

Who cares if you paid a gazillion dollars for it, or maybe it’s worth something…..If you let it go ~ I promise you….You won’t even miss it!

And don’t forget to bring something into the space that brings you joy.
