I recently committed to stay in Hawaii through August which will be approximately four months here.
One month down, I’ve been busy with grandson and daughter most of the time, with various responsibilities.
I do still find time for working on blog, etc. but have not been consistent.
I’ve had some time to reflect on which way my life should go, what’s pulling me, and what my next move will be.
The job I was hoping for was only a promise, and with many delays during the last Mercury Retrograde, I was offered this chance to be in Hawaii again.
The one thing that I’ve done consistently is swim almost every day.
Swimming in the salt water pool after the sun has rested behind the trees, has been my time for reflecting on what my focus should be.
As I swim, I enjoy the velvety smooth water caressing my skin, cooling, relaxing and energizing at the same time.
I feel my muscles contracting, my back and stomach strengthening ever so gently.
And it dawned on me, with such clarity, that I’m here, again, in Hawaii, to focus on improving my physical condition.
In the seven steps to ascension that I wrote about here, being physically fit is the one area that I’ve neglected, or haven’t put my focus on.
What better place than Hawaii?
I need to make physical fitness my way of life.
As I move through my 60’s, I realize how important it is to eat organic and mostly raw, to avoid doctors if at all possible, stay chemical free ( except for a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of wine occasionally) and water as my go-to beverage.
Along with meditation as a daily practice, the next piece is a weekly practice of moving the body. ( I’m not too structured here and purposely do not say “diet” or “routine”, or regimen.
The Universe has done it again! Plopped my in Hawaii for a long stretch so I’m “forced” to face myself head-on and do the work that I’ve been sent here to do, improve my physical appearance, which in turn will improve my life in so many ways.
I’ve got the pool in my back yard, I’m signed up for yoga classes and I have this whole island to explore for the next three months.
The final ingredient that I need will be to set my intention, write my affirmations, express gratitude for this opportunity, and settle in with the same strong will and determination that I used to lose the first 25 lbs. You can read about it here.
I hope you will join me, no matter what your age, to take this fitness thing to the next level.
I’m moving into my senior years on a high note.
It’s important to take the time out of your day to reflect on what your life is calling you to do. All we have to do is listen.
What are your thoughts on this? I would love to hear from you. Please sign up so you don’t miss a post, and thank you for your comments.
