Hanging in the Balance

I’ve formed a new habit.  I can’t stop now.

After 27 days of clearing 27 things from my life, I continue on….

I’m in the midst of tackling my storage unit.  I’ve sold most of the large pieces, donated some, gave some things away, and now I’m figuring out how to put away the things that I’ve brought home.

Once I get situated, I will start again, going through, reassessing everything, to see if indeed it does bring me joy.

Two of the things that I couldn’t let go of are probably in the worst shape.  I plan to give them make overs and keep them because I just love them so much.

I know…some people bring home stray animals.  I bring home stray furniture!

Selling on Facebook

I’ve made just over $200. in two days selling from Facebook furniture sites that have a local audience.

Personally, I think it’s safer than selling on Craigslist ( too many spammers), because you can check the buyers profile and they can check yours before you meet.

I sold some things from my front door.

Basically, through messaging the buyer agrees on a day and time, they show up, give you the cash, and take the item away.

I also had some meet me at my storage units in the parking lot, and caravan in behind me.  I used this method for items that were too large to fit in my car.  My sister rode “shot gun “.  lol

On Saturday, I set up appointments every half hour for about a two hour stretch.

I met so many nice people who were happy with their purchases.

I would definitely recommend this if you have things that you want to get rid of that you could make a little money selling.  I price things to sell, and will bargain if people ask.

Spring Blossoms

So, while I wait for my job offer to solidify, I will continue making a clearing.

Things are beginning to blossom.

I’ve just received an offer to go to Hawaii for four months, but this time I’ve decided to stay home.

My son, who has been staying with me temporarily, has decided to move on.

Definitely all of this space clearing has created some big changes, and it may be a while before the dust settles.

I am once again an empty nester!

At this moment I don’t have a job, but only the promise of one in that the employer continues to contact me that we will go forward very soon.

If the offer doesn’t solidify, then I just might be selling the rest of my furniture and taking the offer to go to Hawaii, stay with my daughter until I can start anew.

So for now, I’m hanging in the balance.

I feel very certain that my decision to stay where I am is the best one.  It’s time for me to take care of myself, keep my independence, live my life, and let my children live theirs.

This is where my faith is tested as I watch for the signs, the answers to my prayers, and carry on.

Affirmation:  I am the daughter of the King!  My rich Father now pours out his abundance upon me:  I am the daughter of the King!  Everything makes way for me.

The best gift that I can give my children as I enter my senior years is to keep my health and remain independent.

The best gift that I can give myself, is to live every day to the fullest, and trust that the future will take care of itself.

I just have to keep making those clearings!

  1. I hope you are not hanging in the balance for long.. Sometimes our pathways are guided to take a new direction and if you went to Hawaii.. I am sure another door would soon present itself..
Sending positive vibes for wonderful outcomes.. ❤
