Dear Diary…Day 5…of the 27 things for 27 days challenge…..

Yesterday, I talked about clearing mind clutter ( Day 6) through the use of Ho’oponopono, visualization, and meditation.

The day before that, I talked about (Day 7) eliminating processed foods from your diet, to eliminate body clutter.

As we continue to work on our homes, our cottages, I realized that this whole process may be overwhelming.

When we’re trying to juggle work, family, friends, and household chores, some will have a stronger pull than others.

Some areas will tend to take a back seat.

And I suspect that the closet that is bulging at the seams or the drawer that holds the old makeup, may not be at the top of the list.

That’s another reason why this 27 day challenge may have to continue for the rest of the year, or maybe even a lifetime.

The most important thing that you can take away from this exercise, is How it made you feel when you were doing it.

There’s a saying that “we don’t always remember what a person said to us, but we will never forget how they made us feel.”

So, what I’m hoping for you, Cottage Mavens, is that in the doing of clearing, releasing, and letting go, you will have gained a deeper understanding of how to work with Universal Laws, and how you hold the reins that drive your life, and by clearing your mind, your spaces, and learning to let go, you are opening yourself to the Greater Power, the Source of Life, to shower you with all of the love and blessings you deserve as a child of this great and beautiful Universe.

So, go easy on yourself.

Do it at your own pace.

Just pick one thing each day to implement the changes you want.

One of my goals is to incorporate more raw living foods into my every day habits.  So, I’d like to share my carrot salad recipe with you.

This makes it easy for me to eat living food every day.

Here is what you will need.

1 lb. carrots peeled and grated

1 cup raisins soaked in water while carrots are prepared – strain water off.

1 can pineapple chunks strained

1 Tablespoon  Real Mayonnaise

1 teaspoon cinnamon

slight pinch of sea salt

Mix together and enjoy!

How many of us long for our own comfy cottage in the woods? I know I do! We can make our own comfy cottage, right here, right now, no matter where we live. I'm a mother of two, grandmother of two boys, interior designer who thinks out-of-the-box, up cycler, and interested in just about anything related to living comfortably and finding contentment, connecting with the Great Spirit in the natural world and respect for all beings who walk the earth.

    1. Yes, the journey. one step, one day, every small act makes up the whole. I’m glad you like my recipe. It’s one of my favorites. I love you too, Ellen.
