Dear Diary…Day 8…of the 27 things for 27 days challenge….

As I near closer to the finish line of the moving 27 things for 27 day challenge, I cannot help but to feel a sense of great accomplishment.

My home is so peaceful…

a load of stress, of unfinished projects needing my attention, items that I had no room for, areas of neglect, like that closet that was stuffed to the gills, things that continued to call out to me…

have all been lifted.

Today, I had time to focus on one of my larger goals and get some study time.

There is still more to do.  I have two piles of paper clutter waiting for me downstairs.

It’s funny how there are certain areas that I’ve cleared, that keep getting more stuff put there.

I keep clearing my desk and dining room area to only find later that more stuff emerges in those areas.

I suppose it’s the chaos before the calm.

Cottage Mavens,

If you’ve been clearing your spaces along with me here are some tips to keep things moving.

  1. The energy in your home will begin to shift, so be ready to go with the changes.
  2. If there are areas that still seem stuck – Clap out the area, burn sage, spray smudge spray, command it to be gone!
  3. If certain areas only gain more clutter after they’ve been cleared – your home is talking to you.  Your work is not done.
  4. You may start manifesting things, situations, new friends, or signs from the Universe, and new ideas.  Be open to it.  Welcome them.
  5. Your life can only change for the better from this process.  Express Gratitude !
  6. Treat yourself with some living food to keep your energy up.
  7. Substitute a green smoothie for one meal per day.
  8. Say your affirmations out loud to let your Angels and all of your Heavenly helpers know you mean it.
  9. Take a cleansing salt bath.
  10. Play your favorite music
  11. Feel the love bursting from your heart for the new and the beautiful to enter into your total being. IMG_2275
  12. Affirmation:  Divine Activity is now operating in my mind, body, and affairs, whether I see it or not.  Florence Scovill Shinn

How many of us long for our own comfy cottage in the woods? I know I do! We can make our own comfy cottage, right here, right now, no matter where we live. I'm a mother of two, grandmother of two boys, interior designer who thinks out-of-the-box, up cycler, and interested in just about anything related to living comfortably and finding contentment, connecting with the Great Spirit in the natural world and respect for all beings who walk the earth.

  1. It seems some days, all I can manage is clearing and wiping down the kitchen counters after doing the dishes. The desk is always piled with papers, my dresser with items that have to go someplace, but not sure where… most days after my shower, I do get the bathroom counter cleared by putting everything I’ve used back in its place. After reading your list of reminders, it seems as though the spiritual may be missing. The day after we get home from our little trip we’re on, I’m going to change things up a bit. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. ❤
