Dear Diary…Day 9…of the 27 things for 27 days challenge….

Green is the color of promise.

The trees shed all of their leaves without hesitation every year in the fall.

They don’t question or hold on – they release and let go…..

And then comes the Spring and their branches fill up with new buds.

They put all of their trust in the Nature of the Universe that what has been full must empty…

and what has been empty will fill up again.

The same law abides in the process of decluttering.

As we let go of what no longer serves us, we make room for the new to enter.

How has your letting go changed you?  Have you had any surprises from letting go ?

Cottage Necessities

How many of us long for our own comfy cottage in the woods? I know I do! We can make our own comfy cottage, right here, right now, no matter where we live. I'm a mother of two, grandmother of two boys, interior designer who thinks out-of-the-box, up cycler, and interested in just about anything related to living comfortably and finding contentment, connecting with the Great Spirit in the natural world and respect for all beings who walk the earth.

  1. I let a whole lot of clothes go this morning. Once loved and part of me but no longer worn, they’ve gone to those who will hopefully appreciate them. Out with the old … I love your analogy of the seasons and letting go.

  2. I’m finding that I’ll ‘get rid’ of something then regret it and it will haunt me. There must be a lesson in this for me somewhere… I’m thinking it’s a spiritual lesson. Just using the words ‘get rid of’ is causing some pain. Awww… Life.
