Dear Diary….Day 25

Today I cleared and organized my dresser drawers.   I could not believe how many pairs of holey underwear I had!  And mis-matched socks!

I’ve been using the “con Marie” method of folding things that go in my drawers and it helps a lot.  It also helps me get more things in the drawer and enables me to see what I have.

I just roll up all the under wear, t-shirts and nighties and place them side-by-side.  It’s pretty cool.

I started painting my dresser before this project, and I think the chaos in the drawers was one of the catalysts to get me on the 27 day challenge.

As ugly as this dresser looks now, to me it is treasure!  It is solid mahogany and has dovetail joints in the drawers.  Probably from the 40’s or 50’s I’m thinking for when it was made.  Does anyone out there know this period?

Color inspiration for my bedroom makeover

Since decorating my bedroom is on my priority list, decluttering first is a must!

I still have a ways to go, but this is only day 25!  So, on with the show!

My affirmation for today is….

I now let go of worn-out conditions and worn out things.  Divine order is established in my mind, body and affairs.  Behold, I make all things new.  (Florence Scovill Shinn)

Cottage Mavens, if you just clean or clear one drawer today, you are on your way to making miracles happen, so stay with me!
